Bio and Background: Bill Simpson has more than 20 years of technology sales experience and possesses a strong track record of building highly productive channel and sales organizations for young, fast-growing technology companies. Immediately prior to joining Nasuni, Bill served as VP of Worldwide Sales at Akorri, a storage and virtualization management company that was acquired by NetApp in 2011. Before Akorri, Bill was VP of Global Channel sales and Strategy at Virtual Iron Software, a virtualization and virtual infrastructure management company that Oracle acquired in 2009. Bill has also held sales management positions at Pedestal Software (a security audit and compliance software company acquired by Altiris); Corechange (an enterprise portal company acquired by OpenText); Ardent (a data warehousing software company acquired by Informix); and Stratus Computer (a maker of fault-tolerant computers). Bill’s outstanding work has twice earned him the honor of being named a CRN Channel Chief, and channel programs that Bill led in 2008, 2009 and 2010 each won the highest five-star certification rating from Everything Channel’s Partner Program Guides. Bill holds a bachelor of science from Bridgewater State College.
