Paul Flanagan
CEO
Paul Flanagan is responsible for all aspects of Nasuni’s global operations. He is focused on building a world-class team of innovators whose common goal is to leverage the cloud to reinvent enterprise file storage.
Paul has a wealth of experience building and leading high growth companies. As an operating executive, he has raised over a billion dollars of financing and has taken two companies from start-up to IPO with capitalizations over $1 billion. Paul has served as CEO at Rave Mobile Safety and StorageNetworks (IPO: Nasdaq), CFO at VistaPrint, now Cimpress (IPO: Nasdaq), and VP of Finance at Lasertron (Acquired: Corning) and Vitol Gas and Electric (Acquired: Coral Energy).
Paul has also spent 12 years as co-founder and managing director at Sigma Prime Ventures and as a managing director at Sigma Partners, where he led investments in Wordstream (acquired: Gannett), Bionx (acquired: Ottoboch), ReThink Robotics, High Street Partners (acquired: HG Capital/Nair), Contently, and NS1. Paul is also a founding investor and board member for Nasuni.
Paul started his career at Ernst & Young and is a graduate of Bentley University. He is Boston, through and through.


David Grant
President
David Grant is responsible for all field operations, which include sales, marketing, alliances, professional services, customer success and experience.
Dave is a veteran marketer with 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles at software companies – from startups to multibillion-dollar operations. He joined Nasuni from Veeam Software, where he was the senior vice president of global marketing. Prior to Veeam, he served as the vice president, marketing at VMware. Dave also served as the CMO at two startups. Desktone, acquired by VMware, and Watchfire, acquired by IBM.
Dave has a master’s in finance from Dalhousie University and a bachelor’s in marketing from Saint Mary’s University.


Andres Rodriguez
Founder & CTO
Nasuni Founder and CTO Andres Rodriguez brings passion and energy to his role refining and communicating Nasuni’s technology strategy.
Andres was previously Founder and CEO at Archivas, creator of the first enterprise-class cloud storage system. Acquired by Hitachi Data Systems, Archivas is now the basis for the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP). After supporting the worldwide rollout of HCP as Hitachi’s CTO of File Services and seeing the Archivas team and technology successfully integrated, Andres turned his attention to his next venture, Nasuni (NAS Unified). Delivering value-added enterprise file services on top of cloud object storage was the natural progression of Andres’ cloud storage vision.
Before founding Archivas, Andres was CTO at the New York Times, where his ideas for digital content storage, protection, and access were formed. He joined The Times through its acquisition of Abuzz, the pioneering social networking company Andres co-founded.
Andres has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Physics degree from Boston University. He holds numerous patents and is an avid swimmer.


Pete Agresta
Chief Revenue Officer
Pete is responsible for growing and scaling the revenue-generating organization for Nasuni including worldwide Sales and Solution Engineering, Channel Sales and Strategic Business Development.
Pete has a wealth of experience building and leading high-performing teams for organizations at all stages and sizes. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Pure Storage, where he led a team that more than doubled the business to over $1B during his 4-year tenure. Prior, he was Chief Revenue Officer for LookingGlass Cyber, where he helped recapitalize the company, acquired and commercialized a threat intel platform, and grew the business over 50%. Earlier in his career, Pete spent a decade at Cisco Systems, leading the Global Financial sales teams in various sales and sales leadership roles and 7 years on Wall Street at AllianceBernstein, a leading global investment firm, as Managing Director for Middle Market Sales.
Pete lives just outside of NYC, is married and raising 4 kids. He holds a BA from Siena College and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.


Dean Breda
Vice President & General Counsel
Dean oversees Nasuni’s legal function, bringing over 25 years of general counsel experience in fast growing technology companies to the role. Prior to Nasuni, he most recently served as general counsel for HackerOne, a hacker-powered security platform.
Dean was also general counsel of both Veracode, until its sale to CA Technologies, and Zipcar, assisting in both the company’s IPO and its sale to Avis Budget Group. He has also served as general counsel for several other leading technology firms, including Demandware, VistaPrint and StorageNetworks.
Dean has a B.A in Management from University of Massachusetts-Amherst and J.D. from the University of Connecticut.


Raymond Hale
Chief Financial Officer
Ray has more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience across multiple industries, with an emphasis on scaling emerging technology companies. Prior to rejoining Nasuni, Ray held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Clinc, Inc., a conversational artificial intelligence platform which enables enterprises to utilize natural language processing to power exceptional customer experiences. Prior to Clinc, Ray was Vice President of Finance at Nasuni for nearly five years.
Prior to Nasuni, Ray led the global finance team at Demandware, Inc., (IPO: NYSE) the category-defining leader of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, where he saw the number of employees grow from 150 to 800 and annual recurring revenue increase from $20 million to $230 million, whilst completing three successful acquisitions. Ray supported the initial public offering and follow-on offering, which raised approximately $300 million and resulted in a market capitalization of over $3 billion.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Seton Hall University and a Master of Business Administration from Providence College.


Russ Kennedy
Chief Product Officer
Russ Kennedy drives product innovation at Nasuni, leading the company’s product management, planning, and roadmap efforts. He has a maniacal focus on ensuring Nasuni customers derive maximum benefit from our technology.
Russ is a well-known and highly regarded storage industry executive, with more than 25 years of experience developing software and hardware solutions to address exponential data growth. Before Nasuni, Russ directed product strategy at private cloud object storage pioneer Cleversafe through its $1.3 billion acquisition by IBM. While Russ was helping transition the product to what is now IBM Cloud Object Storage (COS), he began working with IBM partner Nasuni, and became convinced Nasuni’s cloud-native global file system is the only data management technology that truly exploits the strengths of object storage.
Earlier in his career, Russ served in a variety of product management and development roles, most notably at StorageTek (acquired by Sun Microsystems), where he brought several industry-leading products to market.
An avid cyclist and hiker, Russ resides in Boulder, Colorado with his family. He has a BS degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University and an MBA degree from the University of Colorado.


Barrie Kuza
Vice President, Customer Experience
Barrie Kuza leads Nasuni’s Customer Experience team whose goal is to be the voice of the customer within Nasuni. We work cross functionally to make sure that every customer interaction with the product and people of Nasuni is great.
Barrie has been a tireless advocate for Nasuni customers since joining the company in 2011 as a Senior Technical Support Engineer. Her role has grown steadily, mirroring Nasuni’s growth, and she has taken on a variety of customer-facing positions including Manager, Technical Support; Senior Director, Technical Operations; Vice President, Customer Success; Vice President, Product Management; and Vice President, Customer Experience.
Barrie is known as a technically skilled, customer-focused executive with a track record of building support and technical relationship management teams that enhance customer success. Before Nasuni, she built and launched the technical support programs at Idiom Technologies and several other early-stage companies. Barrie began her career as a software developer before realizing she loved working with and supporting customers more.
An avid hiker and traveler, Barrie is also a mother of four. She holds a BS degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University.


Matt McDonald
Sr. Vice President, Engineering
Matt McDonald is responsible for product development, quality assurance, and release engineering at Nasuni.
Matt is a data storage expert and owns a number of patents related to distributed object storage. Upon joining Nasuni in 2010 as part of the architecture team, he designed and developed the backbone of the Nasuni UniFS global file system. Before Nasuni, he was a Lead Architect and Development Group Manager at Archivas through its acquisition by Hitachi Data Systems. Archivas is now the basis for the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP).
Matt began his career in Data General’s CLARiiON group, which was acquired by EMC. From the EMC CLARiiON group, he moved to the EMC Centera group, where he helped build one of the first large-scale distributed object storage systems, tackling various technical challenges related to storing large numbers of objects.
Matt has a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an MBA degree from Babson College.


Kathleen Parrish
Chief People Officer
Kathleen Parrish leads all strategic HR functions in support of Nasuni’s aggressive growth and revenue goals.
Kathleen has 20 years of HR leadership experience in a diverse mix of industries and companies, from globally recognized brands such as Royal Caribbean to growth-driven technology startups. She has overseen employee relations, managed and supported large, complex organizations with employees distributed around the world, and guided companies through tremendous growth periods. Most recently at Demandware, Kathleen grew the company from 200 to more than 1,000 employees through its initial public offering, while also building a culture of engagement, agility, and innovation.
Kathleen is now building that same culture at Nasuni. Working as a strategic partner to all key business functions, she assists with the planning and forecasting of the company’s needs, acquires and retains talent across all departments, and provides management training, leadership development and other key functions for our fast-growing company.
A dog-lover and avid traveler who has visited more than 50 countries, Kathleen has a BS degree in Business from Northeastern University.


Asim Zaheer
Chief Marketing Officer
Asim Zaheer is responsible for scaling Nasuni’s global go-to-market strategy. In particular, Zaheer will be focused on Nasuni marketing functions including demand generation, awareness marketing, product marketing, EMEA marketing and customer marketing. Zaheer brings over 25 years of technology marketing experience from companies of all sizes. Prior to Nasuni, he served as CMO of Glassbox and spent more than 10 years as CMO of Hitachi Vantara, helping launch the company and drive its multi-billion-dollar IT business.
Asim holds a BS from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the University of Hartford.

David Campbell
Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
David Campbell is Managing Director in the Goldman Sachs Growth Equity Investing Group, focused on growth stage technology companies. He led Nasuni’s last round of financing and was a keynote speaker at Nasuni Summit 2017 discussing the state of data management and why Goldman Sachs invested in Nasuni.
Prior to joining the Investment Division, he served various roles within the Goldman Sachs Technology Division, including Manager of Systems Infrastructure in Asia, Manager of Global Storage, and Manager of Global Infrastructure Architecture and Strategy, making him the rare technology investor with real IT operating experience.
David joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 and was named technology fellow in 2002. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he worked in super computer research and development in Japan and operating system and real time system development in Australia.
In addition to Nasuni, he serves as a Director at Terracotta, AppSense, Applause, Surgient, SchemaLogic, ScienceLogic, MetricStream, Spiceworks, and serves on the boards of AvePoint, BackOffice Associates, and CyberArk.
David received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a BA degree in Japanese from Queensland University, Australia.


Robert E. Davoli
Partner, Sigma Prime Ventures
Bob Davoli is a board member representing Sigma Partners’ investment in Nasuni.
Bob’s ability to identify and motivate innovative founding teams has been an essential ingredient of his investment success. His other investments have included Aprimo, Azuki, Cerulean, Dazel, eDOCS, Initiate, m-Qube, Octane, Rave, StorageNetworks, Tradex, Vignette, and Virtusa.
Prior to joining Sigma Partners, Bob was President & CEO of Epoch Systems, a leading vendor of client-server data management software, acquired by EMC. Previously, he was the Founder, President and CEO of SQL Solutions, a leading provider of services and tools for the relational database market acquired by Sybase.
In recent years, Bob has appeared five times on the Forbes’ Midas list, a ranking of top venture capitalists. He also appeared on the cover of Business Week in a features story describing how VCs thrive through good and tough times. He is also an avid musician.
Bob has a BA degree in History from Ricker College and studied computer science at Northeastern University for two years.


Jeffrey P. McCarthy
Partner, North Bridge Venture Partners
Jeff McCarthy is a Nasuni board member representing the investment in our company from North Bridge Venture Partners.
Jeff previously supported Nasuni Founder Andres Rodriguez in his previous venture, Archivas, which was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems. Jeff was also a lead investor in A123, an advanced battery maker that achieved a successful initial public offering.
Prior to becoming an investor, Jeff had a distinguished career in sales and operations. As President and CEO of New Oak Communications, a leading provider of extranet access switches, he oversaw all operations and shepherded the company through its acquisition by Bay Networks. Jeff stayed on after the acquisition as VP and General Manager of the Access Division.
Before New Oak, Jeff was VP of Sales and Business Development at Cadia Networks, a developer of ATM concentrator products for the service provider marketplace. Jeff also held various senior management positions earlier in his career, including VP of Carrier Operations at Wellfleet Communications/Bay Networks.
A magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University, School of Management, Jeff received his MBA degree from Bentley College.


Kim Perdikou
Chairman, Atsign
Kim Perdikou is Chairman of Atsign, a Silicon Valley startup founded in 2019. She has served on the supervisory board of Alter Domus (a financial services company for alternative investments) since January 2021. Ms. Perdikou has also served as a member of the board of directors of CyberArk since July 2014.
Ms. Perdikou served in multiple leadership positions since she signed on at Juniper in 2000. Perdikou served as the EVP for the office of the CEO and General Manager of Juniper’s Infrastructure Products Group from 2006-2010, doubling revenue in three years to $3.2 billion. She also served as Juniper’s Chief Information Officer. Previously, she held technology-leadership positions at Women.com, Inc., Reader’s Digest, Knight Ridder and Dun & Bradstreet.
Perdikou also has a passion for mentoring future leaders, she has served as an advocate & advisor for several organizations that promote women in business, science and engineering including Fortune-State Department MPW programs & TechWomen + US Dept of State program.
She holds a Master’s degree in information systems from Pace University in New York, a post graduate degree in education from Jordanhill College. Her Bachelor’s degree is in computing science and operational research from Paisley College in Scotland.


Joel Reich
Former EVP of Product Operations, NetApp
Mr. Joel D. Reich joined the Board of Nasuni in December of 2019. Prior to that he was has Executive Vice President of Product Operations at NetApp, Inc. from June 2015 until his retirement in August 0f 2019.
Mr. Reich was responsible for overseeing the strategy, development and manufacturing operations of the NetApp product and solutions portfolio.
During his seventeen-year career at NetApp he played an instrumental role in positioning NetApp as a leader in the enterprise and cloud storage markets.
He also served as Senior Vice President of the E-Series Products Group (acquisition of Engenio from LSI Corp)) at NetApp from April 2011 until May of 2015.
Prior to that Mr. Reich served as Vice President and General Manager of the SAN/iSAN Business Unit at NetApp, Inc. Mr. Reich’s responsibilities at NetApp included interaction and education with key market analysts, customers and the press, establishing him as a thought leader among the storage community. Prior to joining NetApp in 2002, Mr. Reich was vice president of Marketing and Product Operations at HighGround Systems, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2001. He also held the position of Director of product management at Data General Corporation and EMC Corporation (CLARiiON Group) and was director of product for Conner Peripherals Storage Systems Group.
Over the past 30 years Mr. Reich has been integral to defining and introducing ‘industry firsts,’ including the world’s first 3.5-inch hard disk drive, the first disk array for open systems, the first end-to-end Fibre Channel RAID system and the first unified storage system. Mr. Reich holds a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.


Thomas Stanley
President & CRO, Chainalysis
As President & CRO at Chainalysis, Thomas Stanley is responsible for the performance, strategy and alignment of revenue operations, including worldwide sales, partner sales, alliances, customer success, services and sales operations. In close partnership with Chainalysis’ Executive Leadership Team, Stanley’s primary focus is fueling the next stage global growth in private & public sector markets around the globe.
Stanley is a 32-year technology industry veteran with experience in both the private and public sectors. From 2019-2021 he was Chief Revenue Office at Tanium where he was responsible for go-to-market operations globally. Prior to Tanium, he served as senior vice president and general manager of the Americas for NetApp, where he was responsible for direct and indirect sales, engineering, professional services, business development, finance, operations and marketing across North America, South America, and U.S. Public Sector. During his 13-year tenure at NetApp, he also held positions as senior vice president of Global Partner Sales and Alliances, and was recognized externally as one of CRN’s most influential channel chiefs. Prior to NetApp, he held sales and technical roles at SGI and IBM.
Stanley is a passionate advocate for education, science and technology, youth advancement, leadership development and diversity and inclusion. He currently serves as a board director for The Foundation at North Carolina A&T State University, Sprout Social, Nasuni, and Boys Hope Girls Hope Network. He is also an active member in the Executive Leadership Council.
Stanley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from North Carolina A&T State University and an MBA from the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota.
