VPN-less file access at local-disk speed, on the storage you already own
Resilio gives your whole workforce fast access to the files they need, wherever they work. No migration, no appliance to size, and no second permission model to maintain.
Local-disk speed, anywhere
LAN-speed access at up to 200 Gbps, so a large project file opens from home the way it opens at the desk.
Your identity, your permissions
Per-user authentication through Entra ID, Okta, or Active Directory, with your existing permissions enforced.
Nothing to migrate
Deploys on the storage you already own, in about an hour, with no appliance to size.
One deployment, three jobs
Workspace, Replicate, and Edge share the same software and console. Start with one and add the others.
Enterprise VPN-less file access, built on the Nasuni platform
Nasuni manages and protects your file data. Resilio activates it for your people.
Software only, running on your infrastructure and behind your firewall. UniFS is the foundation underneath, providing one governed file estate across every site and cloud, and Resilio is how that estate reaches the people who need it.
Resilio gives users, servers, and remote locations fast access to the same files. One deployment covers three distinct jobs: VPN-less access for hybrid teams, multi-site server synchronization, and getting data to and from places the network barely reaches.
Your data stays where it is. There is no migration, no parallel cloud copy, and no second permission model to maintain. Start with one job and add the others without buying anything new.

Capability 01
Resilio Workspace: VPN-less file access for hybrid and remote teams
Local-disk speed without a VPN.
Remote and hybrid users open the same shares they use in the office, at the speed they expect. Resilio Workspace delivers LAN-speed access at up to 200 Gbps, so large project files open from home the way they open at the desk. Files appear as a normal drive in Explorer or Finder, with global file locking on Windows and Mac so nobody overwrites anybody.
Where it fits
- VPN replacement for CAD, BIM, GIS, and media workflows
- Distributed engineering, manufacturing, and post-production teams
- Mixed Windows and Mac environments
- Thousands of identity-provisioned users
Capability 02
Resilio Replicate: keep every location working from the live files
Real-time replication across file, web, app, and VDI servers.
Resilio Replicate uses event-driven file replication to keep servers in step across sites and clouds, carrying permissions alongside the data and showing every job in Nasuni Portal. Because every endpoint adds throughput rather than load, capacity grows with the deployment instead of against it.
Where it fits
- DFSR replacement at scale
- VDI profile sync for FSLogix and Citrix
- Web and app server farms
- High-throughput migration and recovery
Capability 03
Resilio Edge: reach the places the network barely reaches
Built for the connections your teams actually have.
Push builds, software, and content out to remote locations, or bring field data back to the core with Resilio Edge. Survey vessels on intermittent satellite links, plants, job sites, stores, and rigs all work from the same governed data. A transfer survives a disconnect and resumes where it stopped, and every file is verified on arrival.
Where it fits
- Vessels and rigs on intermittent satellite links
- Software and build distribution to remote locations
- Plant floor and store-level synchronization
- Isolated networks with no cloud dependency
McKim & Creed did not buy anything new to make this possible
The employee-owned engineering and surveying firm consolidated 27 file servers onto the Nasuni platform years ago. That same platform now puts their file data in reach of the people who need it.
In an early trial, remote Civil 3D engineers at McKim & Creed have seen a 50% productivity improvement with Resilio compared with the VPN.
How Resilio delivers VPN-less file access
-
Deploy the agents
One storage agent in front of the file data you already have, and a light agent on each user machine. Windows, Mac, Linux, or container.
-
Point it at your storage
Resilio reads and writes the files where they already live. No migration, no second copy, no appliance to size.
-
Connect your identity provider
Entra ID, Okta, or Active Directory, read live. Add people by the groups you already use, with MFA and conditional access applied automatically.
-
People work
Files appear as a normal drive, streamed on demand and cached locally. Your snapshot, ransomware, DR, and audit policies keep running.
Works with the storage, identity, and tools you already run
Resilio is best with Nasuni, where one governed file estate and one activation layer come from the same platform. It also runs on other enterprise storage, so a mixed estate is not a blocker to getting started.
Agents run natively on every major operating system, and every job, transfer, lock, and access lands in a queryable event log that exports to the tools your team already watches.

How is Resilio licensed and priced?
Pricing is scoped to your deployment. Talk to your account team or book a demo and we will size it against the jobs you actually want to run.
Do we have to migrate any data?
No. Resilio runs on the storage you already own. Files stay native where they are, there is no parallel cloud copy to keep in sync, and there is no period where people are stranded between two systems.
What do we need in place to deploy it?
Your existing file storage, a server for the storage agent and the management console, and one of the supported identity providers. Agents install on the machines you already have. A typical site is up in about an hour, and a pilot runs in days rather than quarters.
What happens to our permissions and our compliance posture?
Nothing. The storage-side agent acts as the authenticated user, so your file server enforces its own permissions exactly as it does today. There is no parallel permission model to build or maintain. Because Resilio runs inside your environment and never processes your data, your existing GDPR, HIPAA, and FedRAMP programs continue to apply unchanged. Resilio holds SOC 2 Type II.
How is this different from a cloud file service?
Cloud file services solve remote access by moving your files into their platform and re-creating your permissions inside it. That means a migration, a second security model to govern, and a bill that grows with your headcount and your data. Resilio leaves the files where they are and reaches them in place, so the governance, protection, and audit you already run keep covering them.
Will our applications work over it?
In most cases yes. Applications behave as they do on the LAN, including native file locking, and we have validated the major design, GIS, and creative suites. If you run something unusual we test it during the proof of concept. Put your critical applications on the list up front and we will be straight with you about anything that is still in progress.
We are air-gapped. Does Resilio phone home?
Nothing in the data path needs external connectivity, and the agents make no outbound calls. The console makes a small set of operational calls for licensing and updates, and those can be pointed at internal endpoints or switched off entirely, so Resilio runs fully air-gapped where it has to.
Private by architecture
Resilio runs inside your environment, on the storage you already own, with no SaaS component in the data path. Connections are end-to-end encrypted with mutual authentication, every block is verified, and files publish into place only after verification.
