Sam King

CEO

Sam King is a pioneering technology executive known for scaling companies and driving innovation, with experience spanning venture-backed, publicly traded, and private equity-backed companies. She became Chief Executive Officer of Nasuni in April 2025, a category leader in enterprise unstructured data management for enterprise teams and the AI that supports them. Since then, she has led the company through a period of significant growth, completing two strategic acquisitions, rebranding to reflect expanded market and category leadership, and growing the team and operating footprint globally.

Sam previously served as CEO of Veracode (2019–2024), where she evolved the company into an AI-driven application security platform, expanded internationally, and achieved market-leading profitable growth through strategic M&A and innovation. A founding member of Veracode in 2006, she led the company through multiple ownership transitions and successive transactions culminating in a multi-billion-dollar exit. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at VeriSign and Guardent, where she helped establish the managed security services category and bring a new model for enterprise security to market.

Sam serves on boards including Progress Software (NYSE: PRGS), where she chairs the M&A committee, and Mass General Physicians Organization. She is Chair of the Mass Technology Leadership Council and a longtime advocate for the Boston technology ecosystem, working to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline and its standing as a global hub for innovation. She is also a member of the Aspen US Cybersecurity Group and the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council. Recognized as one of The Boston Globe’s 2025 Tech Power Players, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, and Executive of the Year by the Executive Women’s Forum, she is a frequent keynote speaker on enterprise growth, AI, security, and leadership.

Andres Rodriguez

Founder

Andres Rodriguez is the Founder of Nasuni, a serial entrepreneur and technologist whose career has been defined by pioneering new approaches to how enterprises store, protect, and access data. He founded Nasuni in 2009 with the vision of delivering enterprise file services on top of cloud object storage, an idea born from his experience leading digital transformation at the New York Times. Today, he continues to advise the company as it evolves from its original cloud file storage roots into the comprehensive unstructured data platform it is today.

Before Nasuni, Andres founded Archivas, creator of the first enterprise-class cloud storage system. Acquired by Hitachi Data Systems, Archivas became the basis for the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP). After supporting the worldwide rollout of HCP as Hitachi’s CTO of File Services, he turned his attention to building Nasuni. Earlier in his career, Andres served as CTO at the New York Times, where his ideas for digital content storage, protection, and access took shape. He joined The Times through its acquisition of Abuzz, the pioneering social networking company he co-founded.

Andres holds numerous patents and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Physics from Boston University.

Alison Bayiates

Chief People Officer

Alison Bayiates is Chief People Officer at Nasuni, where she leads the company’s people strategy through a period of rapid growth and global expansion. She brings more than 20 years of experience building high-performing organizations and shaping culture at scale, with responsibility spanning talent and organizational development across Nasuni’s growing worldwide footprint. Before Nasuni, Alison held roles of increasing scope at Veracode, culminating as Chief People Officer, and earlier led people functions at RSA, guiding both organizations through multiple acquisitions and ownership transitions.

Nick Burling

Chief Product Officer

Nick Burling is the Chief Product Officer at Nasuni where he is responsible for defining and executing on the roadmap for Nasuni’s portfolio of innovative hybrid cloud storage offerings, and for developing an ecosystem around those offerings to maximize Nasuni’s value for our customers.

Nick Burling is Chief Product Officer at Nasuni, where he leads the company’s product strategy at the intersection of enterprise data management, cloud infrastructure, and AI. He is responsible for shaping Nasuni’s vision for how organizations manage, protect, and activate unstructured data for enterprise teams and AI at scale. This includes expanding the company’s capabilities for continuous cost optimization and protection, while empowering compounding workforce productivity through AI-optimized unstructured data.

An accomplished product executive and entrepreneur, Nick brings deep experience translating technology innovation and market shifts into clear strategic advantage. His career spans leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft and IBM, as well as early-stage ventures he has helped guide from launch through successful exit.

A recognized thought leader, he regularly contributes to Forbes Technology Council and other industry publications on enterprise data strategy, AI governance, and infrastructure modernization, and hosts the Mass Technology Leadership Council’s CPO Peer Group for senior product leaders.

Jerry Carter

Chief Technology Officer

Jerry Carter is Chief Technology Officer at Nasuni, an accomplished engineering leader with deep expertise in enterprise software transformation and scalable data management systems. He leads the company’s technology vision and engineering organization, advancing the platform to meet the evolving AI and data challenges facing today’s enterprises.

Jerry built his career through engineering roles at VA Linux and Hewlett-Packard before rising from engineer to CTO at Likewise Software, helping position the company for its acquisition by EMC, where he was recognized as a Distinguished Engineer. During his 13 years at Dell Technologies, he led engineering for major product lines, directed organizations of over 750 engineers, and implemented large-scale Agile transformation that dramatically accelerated release cycles while reducing software-caused outages by 50%.

David Castignola

Chief Revenue Officer

David Castignola is Chief Revenue Officer at Nasuni, where he leads the company’s global, 100% partner-driven go-to-market organization and equips the channel to bring the platform’s full value to enterprises securing their unstructured file data and preparing it for AI.

With more than 25 years of enterprise security leadership, David has built and scaled revenue organizations at RSA, Optiv, BlackBerry Cylance, Bugcrowd, and Delinea. His experience spans global sales, channel development, acquisitions, and post-merger integration, all grounded in a deep commitment to customer trust.

Ross Grainger

Chief Financial Officer

Ross Grainger is Chief Financial Officer at Nasuni, an experienced financial executive with a proven ability to scale B2B SaaS companies globally. He serves as a strategic partner to the leadership team, guiding capital allocation and build-vs-buy investment decisions as Nasuni scales its platform and global operations.

Ross brings an entrepreneurial perspective shaped by early experience owning and operating a business before returning to finance. He began his finance career in public accounting at RSM, then moved into leadership at WebPT, where he built the FP&A function from scratch, reduced controllable churn through improved analytics, and led the company through multiple acquisitions. Most recently, as CFO at Paradox, he helped grow revenue 25x in six years while expanding the team globally and completing five acquisitions, ultimately leading to the company’s sale to Workday.

Elyse Gunn

Chief Information Security Officer

Elyse Gunn is the Chief Information Security Officer at Nasuni where she defines and leads the global security and compliance strategy for the Nasuni portfolio of offerings and operations.

Elyse is an accomplished security and compliance leader with experience assessing, developing, and implementing enterprise security programs across a diverse field o entities, including highly regulated financial institutions, health care providers, government entities and medium & large technology organizations. Elyse has a proven track record of developing and implementing best-in-class product security, AI governance and regulatory compliance strategies.

Elyse currently serves as the at-large cybersecurity audit committee member for the Girl Scouts Council of Colorado.

Barrie Kuza

Vice President, Strategic Programs

As Vice President of Strategic Programs at Nasuni, Barrie Kuza leads cross-functional initiatives that drive growth, streamline operations, and advance the company’s most strategic priorities. She works closely with Nasuni’s executive leadership and Board of Directors to align efforts across the business.

Since joining Nasuni in 2011 as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, Barrie’s role has grown steadily, mirroring Nasuni’s growth. Barrie has held leadership roles spanning Technical Support, Customer Success, Product Management, and Customer Experience, contributing directly to the company’s evolution and scale. She is recognized for her technical expertise, customer-first mindset, and ability to build high-performing teams that deliver results.

Prior to Nasuni, Barrie developed and led support programs at Idiom Technologies and other early-stage companies. Barrie began her career as a software developer before discovering her passion for working with and supporting customers. Even in her current role, you’ll still find Barrie occasionally jumping in to help resolve a customer issue!

Barrie holds a BA in Computer Science from Brandeis University. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her four children.

James Lemonias

Senior Vice President of Customer Success

James Lemonias is SVP of Customer Success at Nasuni, leading the Customer Success, Services and Support, and Customer Operations teams. Prior to Nasuni, James led Customer Success and Support at Bottomline Technologies for their high-growth product line, as they grew to $700M in revenue. Prior to that, James spent 6 years at Carbonite, a leading cloud backup and data protection company. He built their first Customer Success and Account Management teams and integrated multiple teams from acquisitions as Carbonite grew from $100M to $500M in revenue.

Anthony Miller

Chief Marketing Officer

Anthony Miller is a senior executive with extensive C-suite experience helping global B2B SaaS companies deliver measurable business value to their customers while driving high-growth transformations. His leadership has helped scale organizations from early growth to market leadership, including growing PowerSchool from 500 to nearly 3,000 employees, while consistently aligning go-to-market strategies with customer success outcomes. At PowerSchool, he led a marketing organization recognized as the 2019 CODiE Marketing Team of the Year for delivering customer-centric campaigns that drove adoption, loyalty, and measurable ROI.

Anthony’s career spans marketing, sales, business development, and general management, with leadership roles at PowerSchool, Lanyon, and Active Network. At Nasuni, Anthony leads global marketing, helping to ensure the company’s vision, solutions, and expertise are clearly aligned to customer needs.

Dalan Winbush

Chief Information Officer

Dalan Winbush is an accomplished technology leader with over 25 years of experience driving digital transformation across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, data, and AI. He joined Nasuni as Chief Information Officer in 2025, where he leads global IT operations, enterprise systems, and infrastructure, enabling business growth through innovation, automation, and operational scale.

Prior to Nasuni, Dalan served as CIO at Quickbase, where he built and scaled a global Center of Excellence, implemented AI and GenAI to streamline operations, and established a unified data strategy that drove significant gains in customer acquisition and retention. He also held divisional CIO responsibilities at Comcast, overseeing a $300M portfolio and leading strategic initiatives in infrastructure, analytics, and digital experience.

Dalan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Regis University and serves as a board member at VonVision and First Tee. He is also a CIO Advisor at SecureX and part of the CIS Advisory Council at the University of Colorado.
