With data storage headed to the cloud, venture firms are backing start-ups that enable the delivery of storage capacity to businesses on-demand just like electricity. One of them is Nasuni Corp., which makes software that lets customers store and retrieve data from a provider such as Amazon.com Inc. via an interface that mimics traditional storage systems. Flybridge Capital Partners led a newly announced $15 million Series B round for the Natick, Mass., company, joined by prior backers North Bridge Venture Partners and Sigma Partners. VentureWire has more.
