Celebrating the Year of the Frontier Firm at Microsoft Ignite 2025

Nasuni’s Paul Horn shares his top picks of places to be and people to see at Microsoft Ignite 2025 this November.

Move over Year of the Snake. Microsoft has just declared the Year of the Frontier Firm. What better way to see it than at Microsoft Ignite 2025?

The biggest event on Microsoft’s yearly calendar will run November 18-20 at the legendary Moscone Center in San Francisco. And if my inbox and socials are any indication, it’s going to be packed out.

With over 100 technical sessions, multiple keynotes, and a steady stream of hands-on labs and workshops, curating your personal itinerary is an event in itself. To help you out, here are my personal recommendations of what to see and do at Microsoft Ignite 2025.

Kick Off in Style with Nasuni

Let Nasuni ease you into Ignite on Monday night. As a Visionary Sponsor of Ignite 2025, we’ll be setting the tone with an exclusive reception at the Harlequin bar, just minutes walk from the Moscone Center. With the venue booked out for Nasuni and friends, it’s the perfect chance to kickstart the week with customers, peers, and (of course) our partner, Microsoft.

Go on a Journey with Judson Althoff

There’s only one place to be on Tuesday morning: the 8:00AM keynote with Judson Althoff, CEO of Microsoft’s commercial business.

Judson is widely recognized for his strategic vision and his ability to connect Microsoft’s technology innovation with real-world business impact. As the leader driving Microsoft’s global commercial strategy, he brings a unique perspective on how AI, cloud, and digital transformation are reshaping industries.

His keynote will set the tone for Microsoft Ignite 2025 — offering an inside look at Microsoft’s biggest announcements and priorities for the year ahead. Expect bold ideas, real-world applications, and a clear view of where the company is headed.

If you attend just one keynote at Ignite, make it Judson’s.

Turn AI Readiness into AI Action with Nasuni’s Nick Burling

Data on its own doesn’t create value; it’s only when it’s organized, enriched, and put into context that it becomes a powerful asset.

That will be the theme of Nick Burling’s speaker session Turning Data into Wisdom: Unlocking AI’s Potential with Nasuni. Nasuni’s Chief Product Officer will reveal exactly how Nasuni helps enterprises transform low-value unstructured data into valuable information that influence decision-making, drive efficiency, and accelerate organizations towards Frontier Firm status.

You’ll also learn how Nasuni provides the secure, scalable data foundation enterprises need to take advantage of Microsoft’s AI solutions. And, as usual with Nick’s sessions, you can expect an actionable takeaway, so don’t miss it.

We’ve been talking about AI readiness for years. Now is the moment for action.

Shared Values and Strong Partnerships

As Microsoft Ignite rolls around again, I can’t help but reflect on my own time at Microsoft. One idea that has stuck with me from those days is that failures are inevitable on the path of innovation. That growth mindset is foundational to where Microsoft is today, and it’s a culture we share at Nasuni. Our leaders stand behind our decisions and dare us to fail when breaking new ground. Those common values are the bedrock of our strategic partnership.

Since last year’s Ignite, Nasuni’s ecosystem has only grown. We’ve expanded partner relationships, welcomed customers into the fold, and made valuable new connections. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with our community and meeting friends new and old.

So bring on Ignite 2025! Come say hi at booth #4023 and join us for a toast to the Year of the Frontier Firm.
