Last month we hosted CloudBound22, our third annual virtual conference, and the turnout, expert participation, and content quality exceeded our expectations. Cloud insiders, industry analysts, noted journalists, and IT leaders and executives from some of our most innovative customers covered everything from cyber resilience and data intelligence to anywhere access and cloud portability.

At the organizational level, as we look to 2023 and beyond, it’s now more important than ever to have a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. The challenge that most organizations struggle with is keeping everything safe.  Cybersecurity is like a game of whack-a-mole. You protect one thing, and the threat actors attack a different system. So, you protect that one better and then they are on to another system.  The more tools and systems we expose outside our internal network, the greater the struggle becomes.

After listening to our customers and gathering their feedback about our recently released Ransomware Protection add-on service, we’ve bolstered our offering.  I'm thrilled to share that the soon-to-be-released Nasuni File Data Platform version 9.9 will give our customers the opportunity to take advantage of several powerful new Ransomware Protection add-on features.

We’ve been shouting from the digital rooftops for a while about Nasuni’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery capabilities. While our rapidly growing and very loyal customer base is still the best metric for success, I’m thrilled to report that one of the leading cybersecurity media brands just selected Nasuni as a 2022 SC Award winner for Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery.

If the energy industry teaches IT professionals one thing, it’s the importance of respecting the sanctity of data. The product team at Nasuni is constantly working to make the platform simpler, faster, and more powerful, but our new 9.7 release reflects one of the company’s larger guiding principles: at Nasuni, we truly listen intently to our customers. On the product team, we want to understand what’s important to them and what they would like to see from the platform.

I am thrilled to share that Nasuni has raised a $60M financing round to enable accelerated product development, innovation, and market expansion. The round of financing was led by new investor, Sixth Street Partners, who invested the entire $60M, and represents a significant increase in value for Nasuni, just 18 months after our last outside financing round closed.
