Revit with the Nasuni Service
As the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry becomes more global, AEC firms are expanding their presence both domestically and internationally. Sizable building projects now require collaboration among experts located around the globe, working in offices, from home, or on the road. Even AEC firms that are not international still have multiple locations that need to share Revit models and projects. Since Revit Worksharing was designed for local collaboration over low-latency LAN connections to file storage, this more extensive collaboration stresses Revit Worksharing beyond its capabilities. In an effort to address this, Revit Server was released, but it is not a viable solution for many firms due to cost, complexity, or other technical factors.
