Data security has historically been a barrier to moving data into the cloud. Nasuni’s advanced security model overcomes this issue for the many enterprises replacing legacy NAS and on-premises file servers with our hybrid cloud platform. But when it comes to security, there’s always room to do more.
That’s why we’re excited to announce our integration with the Varonis Data Security Platform. Nasuni is a key Varonis partner in the growing market for hybrid cloud Network Attached Storage (NAS), and our integration will bring data-centric audit and protection to Nasuni Enterprise File Services.
Varonis has already shared the news, and we’ll be making an official announcement together when the products become generally available in an upcoming release. But you can try us out together now in Beta.
Varonis Director of Marketing Rob Sobers discusses Nasuni-Varonis integration during the breakout session on security, compliance, and cloud at Nasuni Summit 2017
Nasuni and Varonis Integration Details
Nasuni has enhanced its API to enable Varonis to analyze access events, lock down our cloud-native global file system and permissions, capture a detailed audit trail for compliance and forensics, and automate reporting.
You’ll have unprecedented visibility and protection on your Nasuni edge appliances, helping you stay safe from insider threats and cyberattacks.
The integration, which will support Varonis DatAdvantage, DatAlert, and DataPrivilege, will enable you to:
- Discover and classify sensitive, regulated files
- Detect and alert on suspicious activity like ransomware and insider threats
- Lock down file systems and permissions to only the right people
- Capture and analyze a fully searchable audit trail of file system activity
- Automatically find and flag stale data
Whether you think of Nasuni as a global file system, cloud NAS, cloud-scale file services, or hybrid cloud file infrastructure, we’re proud to be the first of the next-generation solutions to offer Varonis integration.
