Warren Mead

Vice President, Channel Sales and Business Development

Warren Mead is a startup entrepreneur focused on building great companies from their early stages of initial rounds of funding. With over 18 years of experience with sales leadership, business development management, channel marketing development and building successful teams, Warren has helped lead young, fast-growing companies to successful IPOs and acquisitions. Warren has recently joined Nasuni, as the VP of Business Development to build up its strategic alliances for its Cloud Integrated Storage solution.

Prior to joining Nasuni, Warren has been involved in a number of successful, venture funded startups. Warren spent 6 years building SpeechWorks (now Nuance, Nasdaq; NUAN) from its first customers to a $160M public company with the 12th most successful IPO of 2000. As the initial sales leader at Virtual Iron, Warren built and launched a sales model that drove over 3,000 customers and a successful acquisition by Oracle in 2009. Warren also lead a successful turnaround effort at Akorri Networks that resulted in a successful acquisition by NetApp in 2011. As VP of Sales at Exoprise, Warren raised a $2M Venture A round of funding as well as establishing the company as a Microsoft Managed ISV partner. Warren has also held sales and leadership positions at AutoVirt, Open Development and Vicorp.

Warren holds a BA from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) and Leeds University (Leeds, England) where he was a member of the Rugby and Rowing teams.
