Vice President, Technical Solutions
Tom Rose is responsible for the technical documentation, white papers, and reference architectures that explain how Nasuni integrates with partner solutions and the broader IT ecosystem, and is one of the lead Nasuni evangelists at industry events.
Tom has more than 27 years of leadership experience in cloud, storage, virtualization, and security software and a track record of leading technology companies to widespread market success. Prior to Nasuni, Tom was Chief Marketing Officer at Unidesk, the pioneer in application layering technology for virtual desktops, from company inception to its acquisition by Citrix. Before Unidesk, Tom was Vice President, Marketing at AppIQ, the leader in multi-vendor Storage Resource Management (SRM) software from launch through its acquisition by HP.
Tom was also Vice President, Marketing at Courion, a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in identity and access management (acquired by K1 Investment Management); Vice President, Marketing at HighGround Systems, the inventor of SRM (acquired by Sun Microsystems); and Director of Product Management at early groupware innovator HyperDesk (acquired by FTP Software).
Tom started his career as a software engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation. He holds BS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Clarkson University and an MBA degree from Rivier University. He likes to think he’s still as good at basketball as when he played for his college team, but his 3 children take pleasure in reminding him he’s not.
