Chief Cloud Officer
Russell Neufeld oversees ongoing and future technology development and manages Nasuni’s technical relationships with public and private cloud storage providers.
Russell has more than a 15 years of experience in storage and software development. He began his career working on compilers at IBM. His early interest in Java led him to Cambridge startup Natural Intelligence and later Microsoft, where he worked on Java compilers and virtual machines.
At social networking pioneer Abuzz and its acquirer The New York Times, Russell helped build some of the first scalable, customer-focused web applications. He drew on this experience as a developer and development team leader at Archivas, acquired by Hitachi Data Systems, and then at Nasuni, where Russell has been instrumental in the design and implementation of the Nasuni Operations Center (NOC), the global lock server, and other back-end services that make Nasuni a seamless and simple experience for both IT and end users.
One of the stand-up desk pioneers at Nasuni, Russell is also a dedicated runner, even in the icy New England winters. A daily practitioner of meditation and the father of two boys, he has a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
