The hardwood version of March Madness is just a few weeks away, but on the Boston Innovation scene we’re excited about the return of Tech Madness. This is the fourth annual contest featuring the most promising tech companies in the area, and Nasuni has been selected as one of the finalists.
Over the next month, BostInno will be winnowing this list down to 64 contestants. The mix of finalists is an interesting mix of companies already, from established global brands like iRobot to unfamiliar startups, and BostInno will choose the first round of contestants based on a number of factors, including funding, growth, headcount, revenue and more.
Then, like the NCAA tournament, they’ll separate the companies into four brackets, seeded from 1 to 16, and pit them against each other. At that point, readers and local tech insiders will pick the winners in each round. Last year, the determining factor in a choice was which company you thought would gain the most traction in the next five years.
We like our chances in 2017 for a number of reasons:
- Demonstrated Growth – Nasuni is expanding quickly, and our latest round of funding is only going to accelerate this growth.
- An Enormous Market – We’re laser-focused on enterprise storage – a huge space in dire need of a revolutionary product like Nasuni Cloud File Services.
- Increasing Cloud Adoption – Cloud has become a necessity in enterprise IT, and Nasuni is designed to ease the integration of a cloud strategy.
We’ll keep you posted on the Tech Madness bracket as it develops. Stay tuned, because we may need your vote once the tournament starts.
