I've been fortunate in my career to have worked with some incredible people at generational, category-defining companies. I've had some successes and I've encountered challenges. My career has charted a course that has put me at the stage where "I know a thing or two, because I've seen thing or two."  I most recently joined Nasuni as Chief Revenue Officer, and I wanted to share some perspective as to why I'm thrilled to join this team on their incredible journey.   

The last few years have been a challenging time for most everyone – companies and individuals alike. As a company, we always reinforce that our most important asset is our employees, and our second most important asset is our customers. Take care of the former and they will take care of the latter. You get this right, and you can build a successful company. And so while the world was changing daily we stayed focused on our employees and our customers, and we are very proud of the results we have delivered as a company across a number of significant spectrums.

I’m excited to announce that Pete Agresta has joined Nasuni as our first ever Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) joining an already incredible management team. As we kick off 2023, I’m humbled to lead a go-to-market team that continues to achieve extraordinary business milestones — recently passing the $100m ARR financial milestone – to the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the market – to amazing internal employee satisfaction survey results.

Last month we hosted CloudBound22, our third annual virtual conference, and the turnout, expert participation, and content quality exceeded our expectations. This year we focused on building, maintaining, and extracting more value out of your file data cloud. Cloud insiders, industry analysts, noted journalists, and IT leaders and executives from some of our most innovative customers covered everything from cyber resilience and data intelligence to anywhere access and cloud portability.

Ransomware prevention has been discussed over the last few years, but in reality, that’s just not enough. The human vector remains one of the most popular ways in for threat actors and organizations can’t do much to change that. What is needed is a multi-pronged approach to ransomware protection. Nasuni is on a roll this year. More large organizations are leveraging the cloud to transform IT operations. Ransomware is forcing companies to re-architect data protection as we roll out powerful new services to meet their needs. Our customer success and professional services teams are winning awards, customer feedback has been stellar, and our European operation is growing rapidly. But I’m especially excited about what’s been happening in the energy sector.

At the organizational level, as we look to 2023 and beyond, it’s now more important than ever to have a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. The challenge that most organizations struggle with is keeping everything safe.  Cybersecurity is like a game of whack-a-mole. You protect one thing, and the threat actors attack a different system. So, you protect that one better and then they are on to another system.  The more tools and systems we expose outside our internal network, the greater the struggle becomes.

Nasuni recently hosted Nasuni CloudBound22, a two-day virtual conference. The conference was about “Building Your File Data Cloud” such that the right people have continuous, timely, and convenient access to the right data from anywhere while protecting your organization’s data from all threats. Presenters acknowledged that the ideal of “Access your files from anywhere and protect them from anything” might not be fully attainable. Nevertheless, every business and IT leader that embraces these goals will enhance the performance of their business while reducing risks to the organization.

Our goal in global customer support and professional services is to deliver world-class service and industry-leading customer satisfaction. We’ll settle for nothing less. Recently, my colleagues have written about how Nasuni is on a tremendous run this year, from both a business and a product perspective, and I’m proud to announce that we’re surpassing our goals in customer service as well.

Nasuni has had a significant presence in Europe for many years now, but demand for our file data platform is rapidly expanding across the region as enterprises continue to shift away from network-attached storage and data protection technologies and modernize in the cloud. The rise of hybrid work models, the persistent threat of ransomware and the need for speed in today’s global business world are all accelerating adoption of Nasuni’s file data services platform, and we are seeing tremendous momentum in DACH.

In two weeks Nasuni will be hosting Nasuni CloudBound22, our third annual event, and the timing really couldn't be any better. We’re constantly having conversations with IT leaders who’ve learned the hard way that managing and relying on aging, on-prem file storage and backup infrastructure is no longer a viable strategy. We tailored Nasuni CloudBound22 to help IT leaders figure out what to do next.
