Cloud Strorage Account Management, Cloud API and Cloud Tools

Nasuni.com simplifies account management, allows customers to choose from any of the major cloud storage providers, monitors cloud performance, and provides a link to the cloud for fast restores in the event of disaster. Because the Filer’s features are automatic, IT Administrators will rarely need to interact with Nasuni.com.

Users can easily work with multiple cloud storage providers, depending on cost and service level preferences. Nasuni.com interfaces with all of these providers, and can quickly account for new players, too.

We have also built tools on top of Nasuni.com’s Cloud API to ensure storage providers continue to meet our performance and reliability standards. These tools allow us to continuously monitor the quality of service delivered by the leading cloud vendors.

Account Management
Once a customer signs up with Nasuni, all of the provisioning and registration/certification with the cloud storage providers is handled by Nasuni.com.

Nasuni.com passes the credentials provided by the cloud to the Nasuni Filer. In the event of a disaster involving the customer’s data center, the IT Administrator merely has to download a new copy of the Nasuni Filer. Nasuni.com then provides that fresh copy with the customer’s cloud credentials. The link to the cloud is renewed and the customer’s file system restored.

Nasuni.com Cloud API
Nasuni.com’s Cloud API allows the technology to interface with all the major cloud providers. The Cloud API also enables Nasuni to measure the storage providers, ensuring that they meet our performance and reliability standards.

Cloud Tools
Cloudbench measures the different clouds against each other. We periodically test how quickly and effectively we can read, write, and compare data coming back from each provider.

Cloud benchmarks

Cloudping tracks uptime, checking periodically to ensure that the provider is online and available.
