More Functionality, Less Management
With Nasuni, your files will need significantly less management. The Filer integrates your NAS with cloud storage automatically, manages your provisioning automatically, and, as a default, protects your files with snapshotting and the inherent redundancy of the cloud. Still, we give you the controls you need to protect and manage your files exactly as you wish to, in a package that retains the look and usefulness of a traditional NAS.
Synchronous Snapshots
- Snapshots capture your whole system at regular intervals.
- Find, view and restore all past versions of your files quickly.
- Restore a single file, a directory or an entire file system.
- Bulk restores become operable just minutes after theyʼre initiated.
- Easy and fast disaster recovery.
- Set your snapshot frequency.
- Throttle the bandwidth of your snapshots.
Multiple-Cloud Option
Carve your volumes out of more than one cloud. The Nasuni Filer directs the flow of traffic to the clouds for you, and access to all the volumes is centralized in the Filer.
- Choose among the leading storage clouds for providers that fit your needs.
- Each new volume you create corresponds to a cloud provider.
The Cache
Itʼs automatic
Manage it only if you have unique needs
Our high-performance cache enables local access speeds for your usersʼ working files. It is designed to calculate your working set for you. For most businesses, the cache will hold about a yearʼs worth of fast-access active files, and you will never have to manage it. If, however, you have unusual local file needs, you can expand it easily—without rebuilding the file system.
The Traditional NAS Tools
A familiar environment for you and your users
Though your volumes are carved out of the cloud rather than disk, your users’ file access control looks the same as it would with Windows Server, and you can define their Shares in the usual way.
- Active Directory integration
- Full Windows CIFS Shares support
