- Next-Generation Storage Controller–While our controller, the Nasuni Filer, supports NFS, CIFS with full Active Directory integration and takes snapshots of versions just like a traditional controller would, it has the extra, powerful ability to utilize the vast and protected storage capacity of the cloud to manage local data. The Filer maintains a gold copy of your data in the cloud at all times, and is thin-provisioned for data in current use. Think of the Filer as an easy-to-use, replaceable point of control for your data. With the gold copy in the cloud, backup is rendered unnecessary, a Filer can be replaced without disruption, and a new Filer can be set up anywhere in the world to access the same large data set with minimal infrastructure. The Filer strictly maintains a single timeline for version changes, so regardless of how many remote Filers are contributing to the data set, the gold copy is always consistent.
- Redundant & Scalable Cloud Component–By leveraging the infrastructure of the cloud, Nasuni delivers unlimited fully protected storage. The cloud, by holding multiple copies of data in multiple servers and data centers, is designed to be infinitely expandable with no data loss. Through rigorous and ongoing testing, Nasuni chooses only the highest performing cloud providers. Thanks to the cloud’s architecture, data in the cloud is protected, and thanks to Nasuni’s security model, neither Nasuni nor the cloud provider can ever see the content of your data.
