How to Add a Volume

Adding a new volume to the Nasuni Filer is easy. The following how-to guide demonstrates how to add an additional volume. 

Step 1: Log in to the Nasuni Filer using your login name and password. Click "Volumes."

Step 2: In the Volume Name drop-down menu, select "Add New Volume."

Step 3: In the Name field, enter a name for the volume. The Keyname field will automatically populate.

Step 4:  Choose a region or leave the default. You may also set a quota for the volume. 

Step 5: The final step is to choose your network protocol. Nasuni supports CIFS (Windows clients) as well as NFS (Unix clients).

After selecting your network protocol, click "Save" and your volume will be created.
