Introducing Nasuni 5.0 & The Nasuni Management Console
This week has been a bit busier than usual here at Nasuni. As happens approximately every 12 weeks, the sales team is in overdrive working to close the quarter and marketing is busy planning for next quarter. While all that’s going on, the engineering team released Nasuni 5.0 this week – a significant update to the Nasuni Service, and a significant accomplishment for our top-notch engineering organization.
The feature at the center of the release is the Nasuni Management Console (NMC), a new more centralized, easy-to-manage command center for the Nasuni solution. Deployed as a virtual appliance at each customer, the NMC centrally manages all data and on-premises controllers in use at the customer, regardless of geographic location. Providing the ability to create volumes, monitor data, manage data protection policies and control user access from one central location, the NMC is a big step forward in Nasuni’s relentless pursuit of truly centralized data management without the headaches of managing hardware infrastructure. Gone are the days of managing data from individual storage controllers; NMC provides IT a consolidated view of the data storage environment for superior management and control.
It’s been great to see the product develop over the past several months and even more exciting to have it in the hands of our customers for true real-world use.
